Why Is It SO Hard To Get Published Every writer at one time or another has asked this question. They know their work is good, they have paid their dues when it comes to market needs, research, and career preparation, they’ve read some of the inferior work that has made it into print and they eventually founder in the injustice and statistical difficulty of breaking in to print. Jesus and the Delete Button I just deleted Jesus! Well maybe not Jesus Himself but rather another dreadful and manipulative e-mail that warned, “Send this to five (or ten or fifteen) people within five minutes of reading it or Jesus will deny you, too.” Does your In Box get cluttered with these things? Rules? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Rules The only hard and fast rule I adhere to when it comes to writing is the one that says there are no hard and fast rules. It IS All About Me, Right? In a day and time when we are urged to protect our ‘space,’ watch our boundaries, just say no and never feel guilt, isn’t it time to look at whether we have carried all this self-centeredness too far? Church On the Run The American church is going AWOL. One family, one pastor, one person at a time, people are walking away. These departures have gone largely unnoticed, but there is an exodus and it is well underway. Christianity is not for sissies.
