By: stephenmorgan

With Christmas heading towards us at a “rapid rate of knots” – so to speak, most of us tend to review how well the TV or DVD Players so as not to miss out on all of the TV Films. For those who are interested in buying a Thomson 32LB220B4 the following article might be of interest.

Buying a new television nowadays is a major investment. The idea of parting with what could be a couple of hundred notes does tend to concentrate the mind somewhat.

Given the speed and rapidity of technological advances nowadays think carefully about whatever purchase you make and try and ensure within reason the future compatibility of your TV with industry standards.

Digital television (DTT) is a telecommunication system for broadcasting and receiving moving pictures and sound by means of digital signals, in contrast to analogue signals used by analogue (traditional) TV. There are a number of different ways to receive digital television. One of the oldest means of receiving DTV (and TV in general) is using an antenna (known as an aerial in some countries).

The purpose of this article is to take a look at what is on offer with the new generation of Flat Screen Televisions available and in this case the television in particular is the Thomson 32LB220B4.

The 32LB220B4 is a 32in LCD TV and these TV's at present can be found in the region of 1300 pounds sterling or 2600 US dollars. The screen resolution is 1280 x 720 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Thomson has 3 (2 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the 32LB220B4 uses is DVI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the Thomson is available from limited outlets only.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the Thomson 32LB220B4?

Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 8 out of 10, next we would look at the sound quality and our view of this would be 10 out of 10. With regards to the availability and number of relevant connections, our score would be 10 out of 10. As far as overall features are concerned we would give it 8 out of 10 and the final individual verdicts would relate to the ease of use and overall value for money and our scores here would be, 8 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 respectively.

Taking everything into consideration our overall view of the package would be almost perfect except that one of our reviewers was of the opinion that the overall picture performance was marred by a slight granular effect. This was just enough to take a little away from what would otherwise been the perfect mid price machine. Otherwise, all round pretty good with lots of good features to play with.

The fact is that given the wide variety of models and makes available today you should find something that suites your needs as well as your wallet.

The important thing to remember here is that with regards to the Thomson 32LB220B4, this is only our opinion and an independent view and does not imply an official endorsement of the [keyword]] either way, good or bad.

Please bear in mind the prices that are quoted in this article and take note that they are there purely for illustration and though valid at the time of the writing of the article may vary from time to time and also depending on the time of year when you make your purchase.
