The Goodmans LD4260HDFT Flat Screen Digital TV - Not Bad Considering The Moderate Price Tag

A friend of mine swore that he just can't stay a day without the benefits of Digital TV. I can't say I blame these folks because the pleasure to be derived from Digital TV subscription is better imagined than explained. Many reasons are responsible for the preference of Digital TV over Cable TV these days.

One of the reasons is the fact that you can watch your favourite channels and get access to information. From traditional channels, information channels, movie channels, etc, Digital TV offers alot. I wish I was a still a child during this age of Digital TV as I could have access to as many of the channels they now have access to.

Lots of people find Digital TV easy to own because of its affordability. Isn't it amazing that one pays less for Digital TV than Cable TV? Nearly everyone who heard this is stunned. Have you ever seen where something delivers more than the competition, yet costs less?

Looking at this at a closer look you will understand why it doesn't make sense to keep paying more for what gives one les. No subscriber will deny that the most important reason why they love their Digital TV subscription is because of the "variety" of channels they are presented with. If you are Digital TV subscriber, you are not restricted by the number or variety of channels to watch. Digital TV outsmarts Cable TV in this and many other aspects.

This is all well and good but what practical difference to our lives does all of this make as far as the Goodmans LD4260HDFT Flat Screen Digital TV is concerned.

The LD4260HDFT is a 42in LCD TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 900 pounds sterling or 1800 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Goodmans has 2 (1 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the LD4260HDFT uses is HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the Goodmans is available from limited outlets only.

So given this information, what would be our view of the Goodmans LD4260HDFT?

First up, we would look at the picture quality and our score here would be 6, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 6. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 6. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 6 if we then take a look at the ease of use and overall value for money then our scores would be, 10 and 8 respectively.

The overall verdict would be Given the relatively cheap price tag (everything is relative) surrounding this TV, the quality is quite good - at least for the price.

With the wide range and variety of makes and models available for you to choose from it is unlikely that you will not find something to suite your taste or satisfy any budgetary constraints that you might have. The choice, as they say, is completely down to you to decide whether to stay at the forefront of what are rapidly changing technologies and fashion or to remain part of the safer but perhaps better developed mainstream.
