The Art of Selling

By: Adam Mussa

There are two fundamentals that every good businessman should be able to relay to his staff- that of selling and the art of closing the sale. Both can be effectively modeled so that all within the company can focus on that which is important- turning a profit. Learning the tricks to the art of selling and the art of closing the sale are the ways to make that happen.

The art of selling is more than just knowing your products. It is about knowing your customers and their intricate needs.

The art of selling also means knowing your client. Know his present and future needs, and allow him to work with you to design a comprehensive business development and growth plan.

The art of selling also includes much in the way of product knowledge. You must know your company and its services inside and out, and always be able to find a way to make things work in the customer's best interests.

The art of closing the sale can be a little more delicate. Not only must you be able to hook the patron, but you must make you and your company indispensable to him.

Close the sell by showing the client all that you are willing to do make her your customer. Treat her with courtesy, know the strengths and weaknesses, and be there as both a sounding board and a consultant. Whatever he or she needs, make sure that this client knows he is your top priority.

Selling is one of the toughest jobs around. Provide your company and its employees with all of the tools to make it a profitable venture.

The art of selling and the art of closing the sale are the perfect ways to structure your successful business. Without these two foundations, there will be no success from which you can continue to build upon.
