The Art of Baltimore Maryland

When it comes to the Museums of Baltimore, one might be prone to asking the question, what is the difference in Baltimore art museums and every other museum in the world. Every hall is an exhibit, every wall revealing a new form of art or style of creativity. Take the Native American Exhibit for example. Here you will find the works of modern Native American artists as well as those whose art was considered a tool for survival in older times. There are intricate bead works, pottery, basket weaving exhibits and even carved ivory totems. This amazing collection is a mix from several tribes from across the United States of America.

As you wander onward on your trek of creativity, you will find yourself in the entrancing exhibit of the Contemporary Art. The inspired creations of some of the most amazing and renowned artists of the twentieth century are on display in this section. You will find paintings by Andy Warhol, David Smith, Jasper Johns, and Felix Gonzalez-Torres, to name a select few. As you walk through this area, you will have the opportunity to gather brochures and informative materials on the artists themselves.

Just when you think your creative imagination has been stretched as far as it could possibly go, you will find yourself walking outdoors into a garden of sorts. This, however, is not your average ordinary everyday garden. Instead of small decorative yard trolls standing about, you are surrounded by massive sculpting, some of stone, some of metal. This area is known as the Sculpture Gardens and is one of the most inspirational areas in the Boston Museum of Art. You will be truly amazed at the strange and wonderful sculpting that you will find in this section.
