Tanning salons are frequented by men also

Don't be surprised when you see men at the tanning salon. They likely aren't there hanging out to wait for someone to finish their session. They also aren't there waiting to buy a gift certificate either. Instead they are there to be able to tan and to get some various benefits from the experience. Many of them want to look just as good as the guys that have been spending a great deal of time on the beach.

There are plenty of men that are too shy to show there bodies out there at the beach or the swimming pool. Yet they really want their body to look nice for a girl that is special to them. Others just don't have the amount of time in their day that it takes to get a tan from natural sunlight. Regardless of the reason, tanning is a great choice for men of all ages to take part in.

There are several ways you can do this and it is important for all of your staff to understand the importance. Never comment about the few men that come in for tanning as it can make them feel out of place. Try to keep the dcor neutral when it comes to gender. There are enough choices out there that this really shouldn't be anything difficult to accomplish.

One of the ways in which a tanning salon is able to make additional revenue is by selling products. They are used during the tanning process to get a good base tan faster or to maintain the bronze color for the entire summer. Make sure you have some that are designed for men to purchase too. They will feel more at ease seeing such items and you increase the chance that they are going to buy something as well.

There is no reason why you can't direct some of your advertising at men either. You need to let them know what you have to offer them. Entice them to come in for a free session or offer a coupon with a discount if they come in during the next week and sign up for a full month of service. Be creative with your approaches and you will find your number of males increasing.

Men can be encouraged to go to the tanning salon by females as well. They may want their man to have a great color too. They many just want him to feel better about himself and to relax. You can offer a couples discount that can make it more affordable for both of them to enjoy tanning. You can also encourage women to buy tanning sessions for the men in their lives.

More men are also tanning for various medical reasons. They may have been diagnosed by a dermatologist with acne problems or skin problems. Both can often be helped by exposure to UV rays. They may have mental health problems and find they do better emotionally when they have spend some time relaxing and benefiting from the sun each day.

You can be sure you will be seeing more men at the local tanning salons in the years ahead. This is a huge market out there for owners of the salons to reach out to. This can be a great way to increase the number of regular customers you have coming in to tan. As a result you can be confident that your business won't be closing the doors anytime soon.
